A massive inflatable dog turd which was part of an installation at a modern art museum in Switzerland escaped its moorings before getting caught in overhead electricity cables.
Entitled ‘Complex Shit’, the sculpture by American artist Paul McCarthy worked loose of its bindings at the Paul Klee Centre in Berne. The piece of art had an inbuilt safety device meant to kick in at such times but if failed to operate. Instead the great big poo was lifted by a sudden gust of wind and carried over 200 yards before getting intertwined in the power lines.
The Paul Klee Centre’s website described the show as containing:
“interweaving, diverse, not to say conflictive emphases and a broad spectrum of items to form a dynamic exchange of parallel and self-eclipsing spatial and temporal zones.”
Sounds like a load of crap to us.
We’ll even throw in a free album.
