Then a kindergarten nurse in Nutley, New Jersey, raised her concern about Krentcil’s daughter. Specifically, she had spotted burns on the girl’s body, and suspicions quickly arose that Krentcil had taken her child along to the tanning salon.
However, Krentcil strongly denied the claims that she’d let her daughter go on a sun bed. Indeed, she always maintained that although her five-year-old was present at the salon, the child never went near the tanning booth.
Nonetheless, Krentcil was subsequently arrested over the allegations. After all the fuss had died down, though, no formal charges were ever brought against her, and she was soon released. In 2017, moreover, Krentcil told the New York Post that she still had nightmares about the incident and adamantly maintained that she “did nothing wrong.”
