In May 2017 Sierra Hunt received the news no parent wants to hear. Her young daughter, Christa, had been rushed to the hospital. And as the mom walked into the emergency room, she immediately heard her baby’s heartbreaking moans.
For Hunt, from Knoxville, Tennessee, life had dealt a series of difficult blows, starting from a young age. In a blog post on the website Love What Matters, she described that her first experience with a broken heart came in the second grade, when her grandfather died.
Then an event occurred in 2007 which turned Hunt’s life upside down. At the time, she was a child, preoccupied with decorating her bedroom walls with posters. Then, she heard banging on the front door of her family’s home.
