During Dan’s teenage years, he missed out on a number of classes to pursue his auctioneering dream. In those instances, the youngster made his way to Chino, California, selling household items at the local auction. Off the back of that, things really picked up for the young auctioneer in the 1980s.
At that point, Dan was put in charge of a facility that sold a variety of items, such as furniture, dolls and pottery, in Riverside, C.A. In 1983, though, everything changed for the auctioneer. That year, he founded his own company named American Auctioneers, taking his career to the next level.
Indeed, alongside Dan’s continued work in Riverside, he went on to start a number of other companies as well. The auctioneer kept this up throughout the next decade, but his personal life took a significant turn in the mid-1990s. During that period, he was introduced to his future wife, Laura Payton.
