The city of Chickasha in Oklahoma has a population of just over 16,000 people. So, being a relatively small place, people there tend to look out for one another. And that is probably a good thing, since the crime rate in Chickasha is a lot higher than the American average.

Chickasha isn’t, according to the website NeighborhoodScout, a very secure place to live. The city’s crime rate is higher than 86 percent of all the towns and cities in Oklahoma. As a result, you have a one in 27 chance of falling victim to property or violent crime there.
