One billion dollars. It’s a figure that most of us wouldn’t amass in 100 lifetimes. But these super-rich ladies all managed to accrue just such a fortune before the age of 45. Based on numbers from Forbes’ 2016 The World’s Billionaires list, here’s a look at 20 of the youngest.

20. Amy Wyss – $1.8 billion

Amy Wyss worked at her father’s medical equipment firm, Hansjoerg Wess, for several years before receiving a cut of the $20.2 billion he made from selling it. And keen to give something back, the 45-year-old philanthropist has since established the LOR Foundation to help the rural communities of Intermountain West.

19. Sara Blakely – $1.1 billion

One of the few self-made billionaires on the list, former door-to-door saleswoman Sara Blakely invested $5,000 of her own savings to establish shapewear company Spanx when she was just 29. And her enterprise has since grown into a money-spinning empire. In addition, the 45-year-old has also boosted her coffers as part-owner of basketball team Atlanta Hawks.
