James Corden first came to attention in his U.K. homeland in 1997 when he played Carl ‘Tonka’ Marsh in Shane Meadows’ gritty black and white debut, Twenty Four Seven. Two years later he appeared in boyband spoof Boyz Unlimited. And he continued to showcase his funny bones in the likes of 1970s-set comedy Whatever Happened to Harold Smith? and TV dramedy Fat Friends.
