Born in Ontario, Canada, in 1994, Justin Bieber first found fame performing cover versions on YouTube in his early teens. In 2008 he signed with the R.B.M.G. label, and a year later dropped his first EP, My World. The release launched the teenager as a bona fide mainstream pop star. Indeed, every single one of its seven tracks hit the Billboard Hot 100.

A  full-length studio effort, 2010’s My World 2.0, cemented Bieber’s status as his generation’s ultimate teen idol. Featuring one of his signature tracks, “Baby,” the record went platinum three times in the United States and topped the charts in numerous countries. The star then ventured on to the big screen with Never Say Never, a blend of concert footage and biopic.
