As well as being a world-famous singer, pop queen Madonna is actually a mom of six. Her eldest daughter is Lourdes Leon, whom she had with Carlos Leon. A few years later she gave birth to Rocco Ritchie, whose father is film director Guy Ritchie. Then came the adopted children – David Banda and Mercy James, who were adopted in 2006 and then 2009 respectively, and twins Estere and Stelle, adopted in February 2017. So her family is huge! That said, it’s been rare to see her entire brood all together – until now.

At the height of her fame, in 1996, Madonna became a mom for the first time. The child was named Lourdes, and the father was Carlos Leon, a personal trainer and actor. Madonna was, moreover, overjoyed to have a child, especially since her own mother had died when she was five. “When I look into my daughter’s eyes right now, I feel like I’m being healed,” she told Oprah Winfrey that same year.

And while the Madonna-Leon relationship ended just seven months after Lourdes was born, the pair remained friends. Madonna, the New York Daily News reported at the time, definitely wanted her baby to grow up with a father, too. Fortunately, then, Leon subsequently continued to be a big presence in Lourdes’ life – even as she gained a stepfather in 2000 when Madonna married film director Guy Ritchie.
