Arriving into the world in Lafayette, Louisiana, in 1971, Angela Kinsey emigrated to Indonesia with her family aged two, and she would spend the next 12 years of her life in the Asian country. Then, after having moved back to the U.S., Kinsey graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with an English degree. It was during her studies, moreover, that she developed a passion for acting.

And Kinsey’s first taste of showbiz was doing work experience on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, where she assisted Max Weinberg, the NBC show’s drummer and band leader. Relocating to Los Angeles, she then honed her comedic talents by taking improv classes at iO WEST and The Groundlings. She also gained her first screen credit as the voice of Angela in hit animated series King of the Hill.
