Little Prince Louis has been largely kept out of the public eye as his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, strive to maintain his privacy. Every now and again, though, William and Kate give royal fans updates on their young son. In commemoration of Louis’ first birthday in April 2019, for example, three new pictures were released of the little boy – and the snaps are absolutely adorable.
And as the date of that celebration suggests, Louis was born on April 23, 2018. The official Kensington Palace social media channels announced the happy news to the world, too. “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 11:01 hours. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz,” the Palace revealed on Twitter. “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
William had been present for the birth, it turned out, after which he’d brought their two other children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to the hospital as well. And as the new member of the family left the premises with his parents, William told the waiting cameras that he was “very happy” – after which he added, jokingly, that he had “thrice the worry now.”
