Born in 1955 in San Francisco, Jobs was adopted as an infant. Then, after growing up, he briefly attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon, although he ultimately quit his studies and instead made his way across India in search of spiritual fulfilment. And as was the case with many people his age during this period, he also used drugs. In fact, Jobs once claimed that dropping acid was one of the most significant moments in his life.
