Thanks in part to hit shows like Property Brothers and Brother vs. Brother, Jonathan and Drew Scott have practically become household names in the U.S. and Canada. But as our list reveals, it was only a matter of time before the renovations and real estate duo achieved such enormous success. Indeed, even since they were kids, it seems that the ambitious pair have been hell-bent on achieving world domination. Yet, even if you’ve been tracking their rise since the start, you probably won’t have known any of these 20 tidbits about the twins.

20. They’ve got another brother

As is standard twin behaviour, Drew and Jonathan spend a lot of time in each other’s company. In fact, aside from working on their shows and events together, they also hang out socially, too. However, sometimes a third Scott man manages to get a look-in on the brotherly action. Yep, the pair also have an older sibling, J.D., who works with them. And in any snaps of the three of them together, J.D.’s whiter-than-white smile definitely gives the family relation away.

19. They tried their hands at acting

With their natural chemistry in front of the cameras, you probably won’t be shocked to learn that the brothers both had small parts on screen even before becoming presenters and TV entrepreneurs. For example, they both had cameos in Breaker High, the Canadian teen hit that helped propel Ryan Gosling to fame. Furthermore, Jonathan once appeared in The X-Files, while his twin also took a lead role in the Hallmark Channel’s 2014 original movie The Christmas Parade. Good-looking and multi-talented? So unfair!
