Any pre-meeting nerves were soon replaced with awe when the pair were finally face-to-face.

Tragically, though, Joshua Aversano’s military career was cut short before it had ever begun. The 21-year-old stepped into the road one night and was struck by a minivan. In an attempt to save his life, Joshua was then taken by air to the University of Maryland Medical Center’s R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
