This Is the Apollo 11 Moon Landing As You’ve Never Seen It Before

Apollo 11 itself launched from Kennedy Space Center on July 16, 1969. On board, astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins prepared themselves for a 480,000-mile round trip that would see man finally set foot on the Moon.

And that mission was so risky, in fact, that the astronauts didn’t have the funds to cover the cost of life insurance. Instead, they stockpiled their autographs, which would’ve been sent to their families to sell if anything went wrong.
