Before her junior year Becca transferred to Basha High, and continued to be a champion kicker. Her teammates supported her, too, and didn’t care about her gender. “The players embraced Becca from the first day of practice because they saw two things: one, she’s good; and two, she’s an athlete,” Gerald Todd, the former head coach for Basha, told Bleacher Report. Then, as Becca got older, recruiters also started to take an interest.
Determined to be a college player, Becca reached out to Adams State head coach Timm Rosenbach. Then in February 2017 she had a tryout where, unsurprisingly, she did very well. Her hard work had finally paid off. Yes, in March 2017 the 18-year-old signed with Division II Adams State in Colorado. Simply by excelling at her sport, she had achieved something never before achieved.
