Still just a teenager, Lady Jane Grey found herself on the throne of England in 1553. But her reign was to last just nine days, and her short life was to end in horrifying circumstances.
Mary Tudor succeeded to the English throne in 1533 when her father Henry VIII died. Although she reigned for only five years, her cruelty earned her a grisly nickname, “Bloody Mary.”
