These 20 Recreations of Cats’ Kittenhood Photos Bring Families’ Pasts Aww-somely to Life‏

We’ve all seen those corny-but-cute pics of people recreating childhood poses, right? You know, the ones where two brothers pose next to each other in the same spot ten years later, that kind of thing? Well, the internet being the internet, that craze has spread to cat-and-kitten shots, and the results are purr-fect.

This, for example, is Sadie as a three-month-old kitten and a ten-month-old cat. Bizarrely, over quite a short period of time, she seems to have developed a hunchback; let’s hope that shifts with age. Still, her cute, distant gaze hasn’t changed a bit.

At four years old, adorable tabby Toby seems just as attached to his bed as he was when the first picture was taken. With any luck, he’ll stop growing now; it would be tragic if he got too big for his cushy cushion.

Kría has learned to adopt a regal repose on her totally awesome cat bed. She’s definitely grown into it over time; as a kitten she looked completely lost over in that corner.

These gorgeous little kitties just go to show true friendship exists in the animal kingdom, too. There’s nothing like your best buddy to keep you warm and cozy – if you’re a cat, of course.

“So my friend’s cat turned one,” wrote the Redditor behind this aww-some image. “Slight change.” Is that perhaps the biggest understatement in the world?

No, this is not an optical illusion. The fluffy kitten in the first image just can’t get enough of its super comfy sleeping spot. The cat’s owner has ditched the blanket; we didn’t think it suited that couch either.

Just hanging out – forever. This super chilled cat has clearly taken to its favorite resting spot. It’s great to see that its owners have kept the hammock too, although it does appear to be swinging a little lower to the floor than it once did.

This beautiful little ginger tom cat doesn’t seem to realize that water is the enemy, even as an adult. Well, according to the little guy’s owner, ginger here doesn’t even care if you turn on the faucet. Weird, huh?

There are three years between these pictures of this gorgeous little rescue kitty. For the kitty’s sake, let’s hope it hasn’t slept the whole time – that would be like the hangover from hell!

Imagine trying to squeeze into the bed you had as a kid. Well, that’s exactly what Bubba and Ronaldo have gone and done. Two years on, though, they do seem a little better acquainted.

Do you think the owners of this fluffy little kitten had musical aspirations for it? Nah, it just looks super cute and still does. Who wouldn’t want to open a guitar case and see that?

Amazingly, this lovable little kitten was a rescue animal; we can’t think of a reason why anyone would want to get rid of this guy. It looks as though this photo-savvy cat has since learned a thing or two about camera accessories.

No matter how hard this cute kitten bit at the sneaker, it seems that the shoe was never in any real danger. Fast-forward a bit, though, and the cat is boss now.

Wow, Julius, you sure have grown! The first achingly cute pic of him was taken when he was just 45 days old. Eight years later, things sure have changed; he’s now much more than a handful of fur.

“All the evil and hatred is gone from me,” wrote one Reddit user in the comments feed under this picture. It’s fair to say that we know exactly how he feels, this is just too adorable.

Cute cat then says, “Oh my goodness, I’m terrified, what is this thing? It’s huge.” Cute cat now says, “Dude, this is, and always will be, my absolute favorite chair. Did you know that it could spin?”

Luckily for its owner, this adorable kitty has very modest taste. No high-end cat bed for this one; a cardboard box will do just fine. We’re just shocked that the box is still up to the task.

These guys are just too cute. But we’re wondering if perhaps their breed shouldn’t have been Siamese; they look inseparable.

There’s a two-year gap between these pictures, but the cat in the frame is still very taken by this particular spot in the couch. That neat little head rest, however, seems to be getting particularly snug.
