20 Animals Hilariously Disobeying Signs

Some animals clearly have no respect for authority. These 20 creatures great and small, for example, are like the James Deans of the animal kingdom; each and every one is a rebel without a cause. Just look at pug Norm, here, in a picture taken by his human Jeremy Veach. He looks like he’s ready to take home the gold medal for the high jump at the next dog show.

Expecting a kingfisher not to fish is like expecting people not to put up signs. And that is seemingly exactly what this little fella has set out to demonstrate.

This goat’s cheeky expression makes it seem like it knew exactly what it was doing. But that would be crazy because goats can’t read… Right?

Could this image be any more perfect? The bird is a carbon copy of the silhouetted version on the sign. Maybe the seagull thought the sign meant that it could sit there? Or maybe it’s just a rule breaker.

This devilish turtle is very, very slowly breaking the law. It’s going to take nothing short of the world’s most casual, lethargic policeman to let it get away with it.

Now this is clever. After all, if the little guy eats this sign, it not only gets some sort of sustenance, but passers-by also won’t know not to feed it even tastier treats too.

You have to wonder who this sign is aimed toward. Seriously, bears can’t read, and it’s not as if anyone has a pet bear that they have to keep on a leash around the trash.

Iguanas can be lean and mean, so we wouldn’t want to tell this guy that there’s a rule against what its doing. It looks pretty satisfied with himself, though.

This dog’s melancholy expression suggests that a lot of thought has gone into this calculated act of rebellion. It seems to be thinking, “I know I have done wrong, but why does it feel so good?”

The reptiles’ knowing smiles say it all. This is their arena, their glass, and nobody else better even think about touching it.

Here’s another perfectly timed photo. You can just imagine the glee in the dog’s face as it dives into the pool, blissfully unaware of the rule it’s about to break.

“Well, if the visitors aren’t going to feed me, I’ll just have to feed myself. This sign looks pretty tasty… I wonder what it said? Oh well. Probably wasn’t important.”

Look at how happy this cheeky little dog is. It definitely knows what that sign says, and it’s not afraid to completely ignore it.

Someone’s going to go nuts when they see this mischievous little guy. Or, maybe, this guy is actually there to protect the tree from other visitors. It certainly looks like it’s ready for a fight.

These dogs just keep getting sassier, don’t they? Maybe this one thought that it’d be able to blend in with the sandy dunes.

This cat doesn’t give two whiskers about any of your signs. It might be written in both Spanish and English, but until it’s written in meows, this kitty isn’t interested.

The off-camera dog owner might by pulling at this dog’s leash, but the big guy is having none of it. In fact, the pooch looks quite content sat there, no matter what any sign says about it.

Pedantic cat strikes again. Its arrogant position seems to say, “Well, I’m not actually sitting by the sign. I’m sitting here. And just you try to move me.”

This is the second time this has happened, so maybe goats can read after all. Or maybe they’ve figured out that the best way to get fed is to remove these pesky pieces of paper any way they can.
