Design isn’t the easiest field in which to work. After all, when your incredible creative vision is eventually turned into something practical, the end result isn’t always what you originally had in mind. But that doesn’t excuse the following abominations. And whether they’re examples of peculiar product packaging or abysmal advertisements, these unbelievable design fails will have you howling with laughter.
What is this, a camper mat for magazines? Okay, you could probably convince us that the model is sat to the side so that we can see the mat properly. But then why not just put him on a second mat, instead of on the bare grass?
You know the old adage: when life gives you lemons, make orange juice. Or presumably, that’s what they say in whatever parallel universe this ad exists in. As there’s no way someone let this atrocity of a design flaw slip by in our reality, right?
To be fair, it took us a few seconds to figure out what was wrong here. But that still means that nobody looked at this ad for more than a few seconds during the entire design process. And if they did, then the fact that they missed this tremendous gaffe is even more embarrassing.
Is there anything worse than being shamed by a tuna? Well, you’ve probably no idea, seeing as nobody in the history of mankind has ever been shamed by a tuna before – including, we’re willing to bet, the owner of this car. And yep, that’s actually meant to be a cross there.
Looks like this publisher needs a new proofreader. Preferably one with the cognitive ability to count beyond five, which its current one clearly can’t do. And, unfortunately, any kid actually trying to learn from this book is going to have a really hard time in math class in the future.
We can’t imagine how many people have wandered into the wrong restroom thanks to this complete fail of a design. Really, how hard could it have been to find an image that matched up with the correct genders? Clearly, too hard for whoever’s behind this hilarious blunder.
This may well be how actual spiders’ webs are made, but Spider-Man does things a little differently. He’s usually seen shooting his webbing from his wrists rather than from somewhere a little more private. And we can’t say we’d feel particularly comfortable about taking the tissues out of this box, either.
Thankfully, as discerning adults, we can understand that real lions definitely wouldn’t do well on a diet of plastic and cans. But impressionable young kids? Well, this could be a life lesson they’re going to take away with them – with disastrous results. And how nobody realized that is totally beyond us.
Let’s be honest: this is basically just cutting out the middle man when it comes to suggestion boxes. After all, most of those pieces of paper probably just go straight in the trash anyway. But it’s still hard to believe that anyone could be so incredibly overt about it.
Of course, we’re all familiar with nature’s most beautiful creature, the jeopard. And that’s why it’s the perfect example for this children’s alphabet book. Never mind that there are other, more real animals out there that would have been perfect for the “J” entry – like the jaguar, for instance. Never mind at all.
Someone clearly wasn’t paying much attention when they designed this packaging, as “fine art” definitely isn’t how we first read those bold black letters. We imagine it isn’t how you read it, either. And the “stable” and “strong” labeling definitely isn’t helping us stifle our chuckles…
This image was taken in a dentist’s office – not that you’d know from the figures on this banner. After all, how many people have teeth at the top of their head? Instead, it just looks like the dentist is about to cold-bloodedly murder their patient.
This really doesn’t inspire much confidence in Turkish Airlines. But, of course, the real fail here lies with whoever pasted the ad onto the escalator. Perhaps, then, the company’s future poster campaigns should be plastered with “this way up” stickers, just in case.
Well, at least the manufacturers of this screwdriver set are being honest about things. And although products usually go through all kinds of checks and processes before being sold, it seems as if not one person picked up on the unfortunate placement of words on the packaging.
We’re not sure if this “audio clip” really explains “role confusion,” but we’re definitely confused as to how any proofreader missed this glaring error. And we suspect that this isn’t just a print-out of a web page, either.
Sometimes, “free of artificial dyes” isn’t always the greatest trait to possess. Particularly when, for instance, your pills now look exactly the same but have entirely the opposite effect. Whoever let this happen is clearly an evil genius – or, perhaps, just an idiot.
Ah, yes, the lovely continent of Eurrope. We’ve all dreamed of just taking a few months off work and backpacking around Eurrope at some point, right? After all, there are just so many cool countries to visit – like Gerrmany, Austrria and Frrance, for instance.
Is there any more heinous an invention than glass doors on bathroom stalls? After all, they’re only really only funny to the lucky people who don’t have to rush to the john. For everyone else, though, these monstrosities are a sure-fire trigger for social anxiety.
Not even a sick sense of humor can excuse this design fail, however, even if the juxtaposition of Paw Patrol and Hitler’s “Final Solution” is darkly amusing. And it’s not appropriate in a billion years for packaging – especially for a kids’ toy.
Looks like this is a magical elevator, folks. After all, your regular everyday elevator can’t take you to the “2th” or even the “3th” floor. Or perhaps it’s just proof that someone really needs a long vacation.
