Working as an airman in the U.S. Air Force presumably means that Michael Ciuffoletti doesn’t get to see his family as often as he may like. So, as he walks towards his home one Christmas he cannot conceive their reaction. However, when he shows his face, tears immediately start to flow.
Ciuffoletti is a member of the 90th Security Forces Squadron, which is based at the Francis E. Warren Air Force Base near Cheyenne, Wyoming. The facility is one of three strategic-missile bases throughout the United States. It is also home to the 90th Missile Wing, which operates the country’s 150 LGM-30G Minuteman III weapons.
