Shia LaBeouf’s world collided with Mia Goth’s on the film set of the suitably sexy Nymphomaniac: Vol. II. Indeed, in 2012 the American star proudly asserted that the rumors of a relationship with the British actress were founded. But when images of a public clash made the rounds in 2015, the pair were plagued by whispers of a split. In 2016, however, they’ve been spotted looking cozy and starry-eyed again – and LaBeouf even recently called Goth his “fiancée.”

19. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell

Although they’re famously unmarried, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are still sweet on each other after over three decades. Hearts first swelled in 1968, after they got on each other’s radars whilst shooting The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band. Alas, Russell was a bit young for her, at just 16 to her 21. But hope sprung eternal: in 1984, the pair reunited on the set of Swing Shift… and the rest is history.

18. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner

News of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s separation rocked Hollywood in 2015. After all, the pair had had quite the history: after falling in love while shooting Daredevil, the laid-back couple married and had three children together. Yet while gossip about affairs continues to swirl, so do whispers of reconciliation, with Garner adding fuel to the fire by emphatically saying in a 2016 Vanity Fair interview, “[Affleck is] the love of my life.” Perhaps there’s hope yet, then.

17. Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence

Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence had a start on the other couples on this list: they met during an X-Men: First Class screen test. Thrillingly, both were rising stars; sadly, though, the relationship wasn’t meant to be. Putting her typically comedic spin on the schism, Lawrence revealed that her use of a shaving product intended for men had been a turn off for the British heart-throb. “Nic used to hate it,” she told Extra in May 2016. “He was like, ‘You smell like a dude.’” Well, at least she can joke about it now…

16. Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes

He’s arguably one of the most well-loved and sought-after men in Hollywood, but Ryan Gosling only has eyes for Eva Mendes. And, after their date with destiny on the set of 2012’s The Place Beyond the Pines, the low-profile couple have gone on to have two children together. Certainly, too, Gosling still seems smitten with his partner. For example, when asked by Hello! magazine in December 2015 about what attributes he likes in a woman, the handsome Canadian actor replied, “That she’s Eva Mendes. There is nothing else I am looking for.” Sorry, ladies!

15. Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz

Although their first encounter was on the Ontario, Canada set of horror movie Dream House, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz seem to have gotten their happy ending. Indeed, news of their New York wedding back in 2011 officially sealed their status as a “power couple” in the industry. Weisz, however, doesn’t dish dirt on her relationship with her 007 love because, as she explained to More magazine in 2015, “It would be a betrayal. You have to protect your marriage.” Seems to have worked for them…

14. Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz

They’re probably one of Spain’s most talked-about couples, but Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz take care to keep the details of their marriage top secret. Their long love story dates back to 1992, when their paths crossed on the set of Jamón Jamón. But it wasn’t until 2007 that Bardem and Cruz – who were brought together again while filming Vicky Cristina Barcelona – got intimate and romantic in an idyllic locale in the Maldives. The pair of Academy Award-winning celebrity Spaniards, moreover, wed in 2010.

13. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone

It’s safe to say that Andrew Garfield was completely enamored with Emma Stone from the moment the two first locked eyes during auditions for The Amazing Spider-Man – and this desire only grew on set. Indeed, the British-American actor once keenly shared the love he felt for his brassy American co-star to Teen Vogue, dramatically stating, “It was like diving into white-water rapids and having no desire to hang on to the side.” Nevertheless, the pair apparently suffered a typical case of the on-again off-agains and seem to have gone their separate ways once and for all… although who knows what the future holds?

12. Vincent Kartheiser and Alexis Bledel

Most famous for playing the cute and quirky Rory Gilmore on Gilmore Girls, Alexis Bledel had a decidedly old-fashioned first meeting with her mate. Well, of sorts, as Bledel actually first encountered future husband Vincent Kartheiser when she had a guest spot playing the role of his on-screen paramour in Mad Men in 2012. The couple went on to marry rather quietly in 2014; they’ve since welcomed a baby boy.

11. Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith pretty much define Hollywood power coupledom, but the site of their first meeting may surprise you. That’s because in 1990 an actress named Jada Pinkett auditioned for the role of Smith’s honey in his sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. And while she didn’t get the part, she clearly made an impact on the I Am Legend star, as the two were married in 1997. Furthermore, despite having gone to couples’ counseling during rough patches, the Smiths appear to have weathered any of their storms.

10. Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas

It would be impossible not to point out the fairytale ending to Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas’ love story – as the actors met while filming TV show Once Upon a Time together. And with Goodwin playing Snow White and Dallas playing none other than Prince Charming, fate clearly couldn’t resist making magic happen. Indeed, while speaking to People in 2012 about his love for his future wife, Dallas adorably said, “It hit me like a blinding light.” Aww. The couple wed in 2014 and have since had two children together.

9. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.

Having met on the set of 1997 movie I Know What You Did Last Summer, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. had enjoyed 13 years of marriage largely untroubled by divorce rumblings. That is, though, until fairly recently, when reports surfaced suggesting that they were on the rocks. However, Gellar has all but since quashed those allegations by publicly commenting on how to keep a relationship going happily. “Make the most of the moments you have,” the actress advised while talking to People in February 2016.

8. Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez

Halle Berry kept a sense of humor when referring to the film through which she met her good-looking French husband, Olivier Martinez, calling it “a s**t movie.” Still, while 2012’s Dark Tide received an unthinkable zero percent on Rotten Tomatoes and performed poorly at the box office, it blessed the former Bond Girl with a love connection, and one which resulted in marriage in 2013 and the birth of their child. Sadly, the union wasn’t meant to be, and the couple reached a mutual decision to divorce in 2015.

7. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth first locked eyes on the set of tear-jerker The Last Song, and this was followed by the proclamation of their short-lived engagement back in 2012. Alas, it’s been a bumpy ride for the sexy couple, with an official breakup announced in 2013 and their relationship status since offering fodder for much gossip rag speculation. Seemingly, though, after a sabbatical, they’re a hot item again. Perhaps absence really does make the heart grow fonder?

6. Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick – apparently one of the most devoted couples in Hollywood – met while they were both acting in PBS’ Lemon Sky back in the 1980s. And since getting hitched in 1988, the pair have taken a good-humored approach to Hollywood and the trappings of fame. “Whatever you do, don’t listen to celebrities on advice on how to stay married,” Bacon joked to Entertainment Tonight in 2015. But staying close to the prolific actor – definitely within six degrees of him – seems to have worked for Sedgwick, for sure.

3. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

Cute couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds make for an unusually easy-going pair. And while love first sprouted on the set of 2011 superhero flick The Green Lantern, Reynolds beamed that it was actually Lively’s prowess in the kitchen that won him over. “I think there’s an Easy Bake Oven in her car,” he joked to E! News in 2011. The two tied the knot the year after Reynolds’ quip and, as of August 2016, are expecting their second child together.

2. Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres

After meeting on the set of 2003’s The Matrix Reloaded, moreover, the couple were engaged for a little over a year before marrying in September 2002. And Torres has told KTLA how their relationship has managed to thrive for all those years, saying, “We have a tremendous amount of respect for each other and each other’s work ethic. And Aniston has been suitably charming about her partner, describing him in a 2014 interview with WWD as “just like a lost gem in the sand.” Aww.
