20 Photos of Prince George That Show He’s an Adorable Little Rascal

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge – to give him his full title – is growing up to be an absolutely adorable young man with a bit of a mischievous streak, too. Just look at him trying to make a break for it! Check out these adorable pictures of the mini-royal, and just remember, Brits and those in other Commonwealth countries – that’s going to be your king one day.

In April 2014, Prince George attended his first official royal appointment on tour, and a very important one it was, too. The tiny tot had a play date at the Government House in Wellington, New Zealand. But while there were plenty of toys to go around, the little Prince preferred to play with his mom’s hair.

It didn’t take George long to get into Future Monarch Mode on his whirlwind New Zealand tour, though. In fact, if this photograph is anything to go by, George was ruling the Kiwi playroom with an iron fist. Hey, you gotta start learning intimidation skills early if you’re going to rule an entire country some day!

And along with learning all the usual stuff – walking, talking, toilet training – a growing Prince George is also learning some important regal lessons. Like how to point at his subjects effectively. Here he is arriving in Australia’s capital with his parents on April 20, 2014, with his teeny royal finger pointed straight at the only other child there.

At this zoo in Sydney, Prince William looked like any other tired dad with a tantrum-throwing child on his hands. Yes, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may have been on a royal tour, but they often have to deal with the same parental challenges as the rest of us.

During their much-publicized trip to Australia, George’s mother Catherine gave him a lovely commemorative card. And Prince George showed his appreciation by promptly attempting to eat it. But hey, at least he did so with his pinky finger royally raised!

Leave it to a royal baby to ruin a meeting between two diplomats! As Tony Abbott shook hands with Duchess Catherine in 2014, Prince George wasn’t quite as taken with the Aussie Prime Minister as his mom. In fact, the tot looked the other way and made a face like he’d just seen the boogeyman.

Where does a Prince go for his first birthday party? London’s Natural History Museum, of course. On July 2, 2014 George celebrated turning one with a trip to the museum’s butterfly exhibit. And while that may not sound like fun to you and me, this little Royal certainly seemed to be enjoying himself.

In December 2014, the Palace went public with this official picture of Prince George celebrating his first Christmas. It was beyond adorable, and while it got everyone in the festive spirit, it surely had parents across the country wondering how on earth they got him to sit still for so long, too.

“Trooping the Color” is a dignified Royal tradition that goes all the way back to the 17th century. Prince George, however, was not aware of the occasion’s solemnity when he was photographed at the spectacle last June. Here the cheeky chap is watching from a window while in the arms of his governess Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, and he’s not taking it one bit seriously.

On June 14, 2015 – the day after observing the Trooping of the Color – Prince George attended a charity polo match with his parents. It does seems that the youngster takes after his great-great-great grandmother Queen Victoria though, because one was not amused.

Prince George is unquestionably a man of style, and he’s been impeccably dressed for all his public appearances. So much so, in fact, that 2015 saw him take the number 49 spot on GQ magazine’s round up of the “50 Best Dressed Men in Britain.”

And George received something even better than a style accolade last year. Yes, 2015 also saw the Prince gifted with a little sister when Princess Charlotte arrived on May 2. But when the new arrival was christened on July 5 at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, George wasn’t about to let the little interloper steal his spotlight. No, not when there was much mugging at the camera to be done.

And it seems the Prince takes his big brother duties pretty seriously. Here he is at the christening checking the baby carriage to see what his sister is up to. He doesn’t have to worry about Charlotte stealing his crown, though. Although the rules of succession were changed in 2013 to give female heirs equal claims to the throne, as the oldest child George is still first in line.

Little George also took a moment during the christening to badger his great-grandmother, and current ruler of Britain, Queen Elizabeth II. And according to Catherine, he calls the monarch “Gan-Gan” rather than “Your Majesty.” Awww!

Prince George also attempted to hog the cameras at his sister’s christening with a rather excellent Incredible Hulk impression. And looking at this pic it’s not hard to see why, in an interview with Sky News last year, Prince William described his son as “a little monkey.”

One thing’s for sure: the young Prince is definitely giving the rest of the Royals a run in the style stakes. And it’s clear that he has many fashion fans among the British public, too. This $124 red and white outfit, for example, sold out in an instant after the Prince was seen strutting his stuff at his sister’s christening.

As photogenic as the young tot is however, the royals try to discourage the paparazzi from taking too many pictures of Prince George. In fact not long after Princess Charlotte’s christening, they warned the global media that “a line has been crossed.” It all sounds a bit threatening, but at least little George doesn’t seem to mind.

And after his sister’s special day, Prince George had another of his own. As he turned two years old, the official Kensington Palace Twitter account – yep, it has one – released this picture of him absolutely lapping up all the attention.

Can you imagine anyone looking unimpressed at meeting the Obamas? Well when George met the President and First Lady in April 2016, he barely cracked a smile. But let’s cut him some slack – he’s not even three yet, so there’s a long way to go before he’s king and has to be a little more, well, diplomatic.
