Baywatch first debuted in 1989 and during its mid-1990s heyday enjoyed the largest TV audience out of any show around the globe. Once it finished in 2001, though, many of its stars seemingly faded into obscurity. In case you ever wondered how the years treated them, then, here’s what 20 of its main cast members look like today – including at least one star who can still rock that trademark red swimsuit.
20. Jeremy Jackson
Jeremy Jackson played Hobie Buchannon through much of the 1990s and has since confessed to struggling with substance addiction during Baywatch’s production. And while Jackson may have cleaned up in 2000, he’s still somewhat prone to unruly behavior; in 2015, for example, the actor was thrown off the U.K.’s Celebrity Big Brother for undoing another contestant’s robe without her permission.
19. Gena Lee Nolin
Gena Lee Nolin played Neely Capshaw from 1995 to 1998 and would notably resurface as a Playboy cover star three years after leaving the show. She must also have a picture of herself in her attic like Dorian Gray, because she hasn’t aged at all.
18. David Chokachi
In 1997 David Chokachi earned a place on People’s “50 Most Beautiful People in the World” list, which might have had something to do with his four-year stint as Baywatch’s Cody Madison. Chokachi might not receive such an accolade these days, but there’s no doubt that he’s still kept his looks well.
17. Donna D’Errico
Donna D’Errico had already been a Playboy Playmate before she appeared on Baywatch as Donna Marco in 1996. And while D’Errico still acts and has kept her good looks, time hasn’t always been that kind to her; in 2014, for example, the star filed for bankruptcy.
16. Nicole Eggert
Nicole Eggert has changed a lot since the time she played Summer Quinn, and not just in her appearance. In fact, in 2014 she took on a totally different vocation when she became the owner-operator of an ice cream truck business called Scoops.
15. Alexandra Paul
Alexandra Paul spent five years as Baywatch babe Stephanie Holden and, strangely, even showed up in the 2003 TV movie Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding as Stephanie double Alison Ford. These days, the still-recognizable Paul continues to act and is also a political activist.
14. David Charvet
David Charvet was Matt Brody for three early seasons of Baywatch. He went on to put out three records as a singer and marry Brooke Burke; bizarrely, though, he also hit headlines in 2015 for a long-running argument with a famous neighbor.
13. Brooke Burns
Erstwhile Jessie Owens actress Brooke Burns has kept both her good looks and her successful career since leaving Baywatch in 2001. Burns has had various acting roles in the intervening years and is now the host of The Chase; perhaps most impressively of all, though, she has successfully recovered from suffering a broken neck in 2005.
12. Jaason Simmons
Jaason Simmons, who played Logan Fowler, came out as gay in 2008 and has adopted a son with his longterm partner. He also, amazingly, appeared in cult hit Sharknado in 2013.
11. Erika Eleniak
In addition to her role as Shauni McClain, Erika Eleniak’s resume includes appearances in E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial and Under Siege, as well as a feature in Playboy. In 2006, meanwhile, Eleniak appeared on Celebrity Fit Club – and it must have done her some good, as today the actress looks decidedly fit and healthy.
10. Brande Roderick
Brande Roderick may be best known for playing Baywatch’s Leigh Dyer – but she’s still done well for herself since the show finished. After all, not only does she still look pretty much like she did in the old days, but she also has a successful career and family life.
9. José Solano
José Solano found fame as Manny Gutierrez, the first Hispanic regular on Baywatch. He won the Nosotros Golden Eagle Awards’ Margo Albert Award for Most Promising Actor in 1997, but has only had seven acting credits since the show’s end and made his last notable public appearance at the Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff.
8. Billy Warlock
Billy Warlock played Eddie Kramer for the initial few seasons of Baywatch and the 2003 TV movie. Rather eerily, the actor now seems to look even younger than he did 25 years ago.
7. Kelly Packard
After her long run on Baywatch as April Giminski, Kelly Packard has had only a handful of acting credits. In 2014, though, she did make an appearance on Celebrity Wife Swap and showed the world that she still looked great.
6. Traci Bingham
Traci Bingham, otherwise known on Baywatch as Jordan Tate, is another star who has barely changed at all since the show ended. She now campaigns for PETA and has almost 12,000 followers on Twitter.
5. Michael Newman
Michael Newman played himself on Baywatch and was the only qualified lifeguard among the cast. Although Newman proved a popular character during his run on the show, though, he’s not been seen much at public events since the end of the series. His desire to stay out of the spotlight may somewhat be explained by the revelation that he was sadly diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2011.
4. Carmen Electra
Carmen Electra also had a Playboy shoot under her belt before she joined the cast of Baywatch as Lani McKenzie from 1997. She remains a popular showbiz personality today and, in 2013, even rocked the trademark Baywatch red swimwear one more time for Today’s Halloween show.
3. Yasmine Bleeth
Yasmine Bleeth was unfortunately messing with drugs during and after her time playing Baywatch siren Caroline Holden. In 2001 she was found with cocaine in her possession, something for which she was handed two years’ probation the following year. Happily, Bleeth is now clean but has nevertheless made very few public appearances within the last decade.
2. Pamela Anderson
At 48 years of age, Pamela Anderson is still making headlines today – most recently for a racy shoot for Flaunt magazine. Indeed, the one-time C.J. Parker has rarely been out of the gossip mags, or off TV screens, since leaving Baywatch.
1. David Hasselhoff
David Hasselhoff – aka The Hoff, aka Mitch Buchannon – is definitely a little more wrinkled now than he was in his Baywatch days. Having said that, though, there’s no doubt that he remains massively famous, even despite some well-documented drinking problems.
