Throughout the years, many bands in the music industry have reformed after a significant period apart. The Jonas Brothers are one such group, as they made their comeback in February 2019. However, when they released their new song “Sucker”, plenty of fans made the same observation about its music video.

Back in 2005, a group of brothers named Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas came together to form a pop band. After growing up in Wyckoff, New Jersey, the trio produced their debut track that year, titled “Please Be Mine.” Everything changed for them at that point, as they were subsequently signed by a major record label.

Indeed, Nick, Kevin and Joe became the latest artists to join Columbia Records, but soon faced a pivotal decision. During that period, they still didn’t have a name for the band, floating around a couple of ideas such as the Sons of Jonas. However, the siblings eventually opted for something a bit simpler with the Jonas Brothers.

With everything in place, the Jonas Brothers’ debut song hit the shelves in December 2005, titled “Mandy.” Some two months later, the band then appeared on the film soundtrack of Aquamarine, a family comedy starring the likes of Emma Roberts and Sara Paxton. Their work in 2006 didn’t end there, though.

In April that year, the Jonas Brothers also featured on the Disneymania 4 CD, a compilation record that featured a number of artists from the Disney Channel. Off the back of that, the group’s first album, titled It’s About Time, came out in the summer. But despite all that effort, big changes were afoot.

In 2007 Columbia Records dumped Nick, Joe and Kevin from the label. Thankfully for the siblings, though, that didn’t signal the end as Hollywood Records then picked them up that February. After all that drama, the Jonas Brothers’ career in the music industry really started to take off from there.

Indeed, the Jonas Brothers continued their relationship with Disney after appearing on the Disneymania 5 album and the soundtrack of Meet the Robinsons. In addition to that, the band also performed at the White House in April 2007, before appearing again a few months later. However, there was another significant moment on the horizon.

Nick, Joe and Kevin released their second album in August 2007, simply titled Jonas Brothers. The record was a big success in America, selling just over 2.4 million units and breaking into the top five of the charts. As a result of that, the band’s sophomore CD went platinum.

The Jonas Brothers followed that up with another album in August 2008, which they titled A Little Bit Longer. Bettering the success of their previous release, the record hit top spot in the American charts. Much like Jonas Brothers, it also went platinum, selling more than two million copies domestically.

Off the back of that, the Jonas Brothers’ fourth record then hit the shelves in June 2009. Titled Lines, Vines and Trying Times, the album reached the top of the domestic charts, despite receiving some middling reviews from the band’s fan base. However, no one could’ve predicted what happened next.

After a very quiet period, Joe, Nick and Kevin revealed that the band’s next album was on the way in 2013, but everything changed that October. Indeed, after eight years together, the Jonas Brothers announced that they would split up at that point. Their latest record, titled V, was subsequently scrapped as a result.

Meanwhile, away from the music industry, Nick, Joe and Kevin have each started families of their own, with the latter kicking things off in December 2009. At that time, he and his partner Danielle Jonas got married in New York. As for the ceremony itself, hundreds of people were in attendance, including the musician’s famous siblings.

Born in September 1986, New Jersey native Danielle was first introduced to Kevin in 2007 during a family holiday. Some two years after that, the former barber celebrated her wedding with the pop star. In August 2012, though, their relationship took an interesting turn as they fronted their own reality TV show.

Indeed, Kevin and Danielle starred in Married to Jonas on the E! Network, with the first season spanning ten episodes. After the finale in October 2012, the program was then given the green light for another series. On that note, the reality show returned to the small screen in the spring of 2013.

However, Married to Jonas’ sophomore season proved to be its last as the show was canceled soon after. While Danielle and Kevin’s reality television careers came to an end, they started to build a family together in early 2014. That year, the couple welcomed their baby daughter into the world, naming her Alena Rose.

After becoming first-time parents, Kevin and Danielle then had another child over two years later. Valentina Angelina was the latest addition to the Jonas family in the fall of 2016, joining her older sister. Some 12 months on from that, though, one of the pop star’s siblings had very good news of his own.

Kevin’s younger brother Joe revealed that he and Sophie Turner had gotten engaged at that point. Before that announcement, the musician had been well known for his relationships with stars such as Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, unlike Danielle, Turner was already an established name in the world of entertainment.

Born in February 1996, Turner grew up in Warwickshire, England, alongside her parents and two older siblings. From a young age, she had aspirations of becoming an actress, which led to her joining a local theater group during her early years. However, those lofty dreams finally became a reality in April 2011.

Turner joined the cast of HBO’s drama Game of Thrones, based upon the fantasy book series by George R. R. Martin. The young actress took on the role of Sansa Stark, the oldest daughter of the first season’s protagonist Ned Stark. Since then, the program has become one of the most popular shows on television.

In addition to Turner’s work on Game of Thrones, she made her big screen debut in 2013’s Another Me. A tense thriller, the film also stars the likes of Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Rhys Ifans and Claire Forlani. After scoring a couple of other roles, the actress then joined the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016, taking on the character of Jean Grey.

Meanwhile, some time after Joe made his announcement in the fall of 2017, younger brother Nick was thrust under the spotlight. Indeed, in May 2018 the musician formed a romantic relationship with film and television star Priyanka Chopra. Just a few months later, the pair tied the knot in Jodhpur, India.

Born in July 1982, Chopra spent most of her childhood traveling around India as a result of her mom and dad’s jobs in the army. As a teenager, she then packed her bags for America, spending the next few years with a relative in both Iowa and Massachusetts. At the end of that period, the future star went back to her home country.

However, Chopra’s life changed forever in the year 2000 after signing up for the Miss India beauty pageant. In that contest, she won the Miss India World crown and qualified for another prestigious competition. That November, the teenager subsequently traveled to London, England, to participate in the Miss World show.

Incredibly, Chopra beat off the competition to win that crown as well, which opened the door to some other exciting opportunities. Off the back of her Miss World triumph, she made her big screen debut in the 2002 Bollywood movie Thamizhan. That wouldn’t be her last movie role, though.

Over the next few years, Chopra went on to feature in several other Bollywood films, firmly establishing herself on the big screen in India. With that in mind, she then returned to America in 2015 after receiving another big opportunity. The actress scored a part in the TV show Quantico, taking on the lead role.

Chopra starred in close to 60 episodes of the drama before its cancelation in 2018 at the end of the third season. During her time on the show, she also made her Hollywood film debut in 2017’s Baywatch, joining the likes of Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson. After that, the former Miss World winner was cast in the 2018 drama A Kid Like Jake.

After meeting Chopra, Nick followed his brothers’ lead as he looked to start a family of his own. However, despite those big changes in their lives, the siblings had a surprise announcement for their legions of fans in February 2019. Some six years on from the band’s split, they confirmed their comeback with the release of a brand-new song.

The single, titled “Sucker,” hit the airwaves on March 1, 2019. In addition to that, the Jonas Brothers also released the music video for the track on their official YouTube channel. On that note, the video proved a big hit, earning close to 100 million views and more than four million likes on the website.

In addition to that, the “Sucker” music video also generated more 160,000 comments from online users on YouTube. Among all the praise, though, plenty of fans couldn’t help but make the same observation about the video. Indeed, the Jonas Brothers weren’t the only stars in their new track.

Nick, Joe and Kevin were joined by their respective partners in the music video, which was set inside a sprawling mansion. Over the course of the song, the video captures Turner, Chopra and Danielle enjoying themselves in and around the property, taking part in a number of eye-catching activities. Their appearance in the video certainly caught the attention of the fan base.

“What a time to be alive!” wrote one YouTube user in the video’s comments section. “The Jonas Brothers were literally my childhood, and it’s so good to hear their voices together again. Not to mention how amazing it is that Nick and Kevin featured their wives and Joe included his fiancé in the music video.”

Those feelings were reiterated by another online user in the comments, who also looked ahead to one thing in particular. “I think it was so sweet of them to put their significant others in the video,” they wrote on YouTube. “And I can’t wait to see Joe get married [to Turner].”

Meanwhile, a fellow YouTube user offered their opinion about the meaning of the song itself, citing the appearance of Danielle, Chopra and Turner in the video. “Making music about how much you love your wives,” they wrote in the comments section. “This is how you start a comeback.”

Elsewhere, another user couldn’t help but focus on one person in particular during the track. “I am obsessed with Sophie Turner in this video,” the user wrote. “She is both beautiful, majestic and hilarious, which is hard to do at the same time. I didn’t even know I was a fan until now.”

Away from that, Chopra shared the music video in an Instagram post in March 2019, talking about the time she spent with her family. “This is the first time we’ve worked together,” she wrote on the social media website. “But not for a moment did it feel like work. Such a fun family affair.”

“Jonas Brothers and the J Sisters cheering each other on!” Chopra added. “Proud of you husband.” Much like on YouTube, the “Sucker” music video proved a big hit on Instagram, with the post earning more than 12 million views. Those impressive numbers certainly reflected the overall popularity of the song, as fans celebrated the band’s return.

Indeed, the Jonas Brothers’ single topped the domestic charts following its release, marking another notable milestone for the group. Incredibly, “Sucker” is the only one of their songs to have reached number one in America, despite the success of their previous albums. But that didn’t signal the end of the comeback, though.

Just over a month after the release of “Sucker,” the Jonas Brothers unveiled their second new single to the world in April 2019, titled “Cool.” The band posted the track’s music video on YouTube soon after, which generated even more buzz and excitement from their ecstatic fan base. Once again, the numbers mirrored that.

The “Cool” music video has earned over 17 million views and more than one million likes on YouTube since its posting. Meanwhile, the track also garnered more than 40,000 comments from online users. Just like with “Sucker,” plenty of people were delighted to hear new material from Nick, Joe and Kevin.

As the Jonas Brothers continue to enjoy a resurgence, their respective partners have some exciting times ahead as well. Danielle started her own jewelry business back in December 2018, while Chopra and Turner both have film projects on the horizon. The latter in particular will star in Dark Phoenix and the final season of Game of Thrones in 2019.
