40 Ridiculous Fast-Food Combos That Customers Actually Ordered

Ever get bored of having the same old options at fast-food restaurants? Cheeseburger this, chicken burrito that. Zzzz. Well, luckily there is something you can do about it, and that is to create a fast-food mashup! Here are 40 of the most ridiculous combos that have ever been made. Some of these ingenious creations taste incredible, whilst others… erm… not so much. You won’t believe what’s in the Pokémon-ta-Go!

1. Munchick Popkins, Dunkin’ Donuts & KFC

What do you get when you order some Munchkin mini donuts from Dunkin’ Ds and some Popcorn Chicken from good old Colonel Sanders? The answer — if you place those chicken pieces neatly in between the munchkins — is some Munchick Popkins. So, how do they taste? Pretty good, to be honest. Sort of like chicken and waffles. Try them!

2. Livin’ Burrita Loca, Chipotle & El Pollo Loco

If a single burrito isn’t enough for your enormous appetite, why not, ahem, put another one inside? That’s what some hungry and clever people have been doing: combining a burrito from Chipotle with a chipotle avocado burrito from Mexican chain El Pollo Loco into one massive meal. The combo has been called Livin’ Burrita Loca — with a nod to Ricky Martin — and it tastes surprisingly delicious. But filling. You won’t need to eat again for days.

3. The Ultimate Zinger, KFC

Now, you might think The Ultimate Zinger was the wittiest retort possible. You’d be sort of right, but it is also a mighty fine fast-food combo. Yes, if you go into KFC and order a Pulled Chicken Ultimate and a Zinger Burger, you can combine the two to make The Ultimate Zinger. Trust us, it is delectable. But kind of messy.

4. McCrunchwrap Egg-streme, Taco Bell & McDonald’s

Here’s another cross-corporation combo that we’re sure will satisfy your taste buds. Presenting the McCrunchwrap Egg-streme: an epic sandwich created by combining Taco Bell’s Crunchwrap Supreme with McDonald’s breakfast staple the Egg McMuffin. Your tasty yet messy meal will contain everything from Canadian bacon, cheese, egg, seasoned beef, lettuce, tomatoes, an English muffin and a wrap. A better combo than Laurel and Hardy.

5. Hot Dog Stuffed Crust, Pizza Hut

We don’t know about you, but we’re really nostalgic for 2015. For one reason though, essentially: you could walk into a Pizza Hut and order a Hot Dog Stuffed Crust. Yes, a pizza that was surrounded by a multitude of mini hotdogs in pretzel buns, instead of the usual basic crust or more elaborate cheese-filled option. It was practically unpickupable though, and sadly can’t have been that popular, as it got binned off. Sigh.

6. Single Ladies, In-N-Out & Burger King

Sometimes, making fast-food combos is simple. One such instance is the Single Ladies mash-up, so-named after the Beyoncé song of the same name. The combo basically involves buying one of the Anthony Bourdain approved burgers from In-N-Out, and carefully placing some onion rings from Burger King on top. As Queen Bey sang, “If you liked it, then you shoulda put a ring on it.” So, don’t make the same mistake as the errant lothario in the song, and make your In-N-Out burger even greater.

7. Mexican Pizza, Taco Bell

If you can’t decide between having Mexican or Italian in the form of a pizza, Taco Bell has you covered. The Mexican Pizza combines the two cuisines, with its tortilla shell base slathered in pizza sauce and topped with beef, beans, tomatoes and cheese. Oddly, the brilliant hybrid was discontinued in November 2020 but Dolly Parton and thousands of others campaigned for its return. Thankfully, Taco Bell saw sense, and brought this popular favorite back.

8. Beefy Strawberry Freeze, Taco Bell

This one is just plain disgusting. But someone genuinely ordered this monstrosity from Taco Bell. A fast-food worker on Reddit explained, “One night… a group [came] through the drive thru. They order[ed] a bunch of $1 burritos and three Strawberry Frutista Freezes. One of the guys yells into the speaker that he wants a scoop of beef in his Frutista Freeze.” What? Urgh, we didn’t even have to try this one to know it is vile.

9. Chicks in a Blanket, Jack in the Box & Domino’s Pizza

For this combo, you’ll need to order some crispy chicken strips from Jack in the Box and a pizza from Domino’s. Then, once they are both delivered or collected, carefully place the chicken pieces on the pizza and wrap the Domino’s classic over them, like a calzone and voila, you have chicks in a blanket. Simple, but remarkably effective.

10. Apple-pie McFlurry, McDonald’s

This combo became so popular and widely made it was actually brought in as an official menu item at McDonald’s back in 2018. We are, of course, talking about the legendary Apple-pie McFlurry. A king of the secret menu at Mickey D’s. Featuring a warm apple pie slice fully dunked or blended into a McFlurry ice cream pot. If you look up the word delicious in the dictionary it refers to this as an example. Probably.

11. Chicken Caesar Pita, Wendy’s

Can’t decide between having a Chicken Caesar Salad and a sandwich? Well, you could recreate a discontinued menu item from Wendy’s. We’re talking about the Chicken Caesar Pita, a relic from the late ’90s that still makes fans nostalgic. Simply make a sizeable salad, warm up a large pitta bread, and wrap it around the leaves and chicken. Yum.

12. Pokémon ta-Go, Taco Bell & Del Taco

Ah, the Pokémon ta-Go. A favorite of fast-food and Pokémon aficionados alike. The combo dish requires ordering the Fiery Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme and a fiery red taco shell (which mimics the top half of a Pokeball) from Taco Bell. Then order a mini quesadilla from Del Taco for the bottom half, and you will be ready to catch ‘em all. Or more likely eat them all. Yum.

13. The Meat Mountain, Arby’s

A secret menu legend at Arby’s, The Meat Mountain comes exactly as described. Redditor RedditRobz explained, “It's quite literally every single kind of meat they have — plus cheese — on a sandwich. It's $13 for the sandwich alone, but it's amazing… and it's like a whole pound of meat.” Tasty, but if you have high cholesterol, maybe best to give this one a miss.

14. Waffle Taco, Taco Bell

You don’t need to concoct this weird combo yourself. No, just wander into a Taco Bell, or motor down to the Drive-Thru and order the Waffle Taco. It has been described by the company as “a warm waffle wrapped around a hearty sausage patty or flavorful bacon, with fluffy scrambled eggs and cheese, and served with a side of sweet syrup.” And if that isn’t enough to get you salivating, then you’re beyond help.

15. Most American Thickburger, Carl’s Jr. & Hardee’s

Another curious combo is the Most American Thickburger. Back in the day you could order this bad boy from a branch of Carl’s Jr. or Hardee’s. It contained such American classics as a hot dog, cheeseburger and potato chips inside one tasty bun, with tomato relish and lettuce too. If you order a hot dog, a cheeseburger and some potato chips, then you can feasibly recreate this hunger conqueror.

16. Chick-fil-Me with Mac and Cheese, Chick-fil-A

As delectable as it is, this fast-food combo should come with a health warning. Yes, the Chick-fil-Me with Mac and Cheese sandwich, as we’ve decided to call it, is not for the faint-hearted. To make it, you order a Chick-fil-A chicken bun and a side order of mac and cheese and some Buffalo sauce. Then open up the bun and slap a big helping of mac and cheese on top. Messy, undeniably unhealthy, but wow!

17. Donut Sandwich, Dunkin’ Donuts

Here’s a weird combo people came up with that was actually released by Dunkin’ Donuts back in 2013. Meet the Donut Sandwich, a breakfast for champions. Or perhaps cops, given how much they supposedly like donuts. It features some slices of bacon and an egg pressed together inside a glazed donut, which is cut in half to mimic a bun. Yum!

 18. The Starfish, Carl’s Jr. and McDonalds

The first thing to do is to find a Carl’s Jr. within a reasonable distance of a McDonald’s. Then, purchase some Chicken Stars from the former, and a Filet-O-Fish from the latter. Carefully place the aforementioned stars inside the bun of the Mickey D’s classic and voila! You have The Starfish, an awesome fast-food hybrid that tastes like seafood heaven.

19. Fries Cream Paint Job, McDonald’s

Now, McDonald’s fries covered in vanilla ice cream might sound like madness to you. But please, hear us out. The crunchy, heavily salted potato combined with the sweetness of the vanilla ice cream leads to culinary heaven. Get in your local Mickey D’s and order those two items to see for yourself. You won’t regret it!

20. Baja Blast of Ice Cream, Taco Bell

The Baja Blast of Ice Cream, as we are going to call it, has caused something of a stir on TikTok. So, basically, the youth have been ordering the Mountain Dew Baja Blast from Taco Bell, along with a vanilla cone of creamed ice from the same joint. They are then, almost inexplicably, pushing that cone face first into the fizzy drink, swirling it around until all the vanilla has decanted into the cup and drinking it. Sounds and looks yuck, but the kids seem to enjoy and even swear by it.

21. In-Don-Ut Burger, Krispy Kreme & In-N-Out

What’s better than an In-N-Out cheeseburger in a bun? Why, an In-N-Out cheeseburger enclosed in a cut-in-half Krispy Kreme Donut, silly. Well, actually that is a matter of opinion. But we were surprised to discover that this weird combination of the very sweet and the technically savory actually kind of works. Plus it has a cool name, so there’s that.

22. Pepperoni Pizza Fries, Carl’s Jr.

Loaded fries had been a thing for quite a while when Carl’s Jr. decided to take them to the next level. They brought out an odd combo simply called pizza fries. As you might expect from the name, it's a tasty fried potato topped with pizza sauce, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese. What’s not to like? Besides from getting your hands really greasy and it not being at all healthy.

23. McWhopper, McDonald’s & Burger King

Back in 2015 Burger King cheekily mooted a Whopper and Big Mac hybrid, especially for that year’s Peace Day. It never came to pass but fast-food fans have been craving it ever since. To create it, order both a Big Mac and a Whopper from each restaurant, then take the top bun, one beef patty, lettuce, cheese, and the middle bun from the Mac. Finally, take the flame grilled patty, tomato, pickles, onion and the bottom bun from the Whopper to create the combo.

24. Double Down, KFC

You may or may not remember the KFC Double Down. Actually, you will almost certainly remember it if you had it, given how unusual it was. The sandwich featured two pieces of fried chicken in place of a bun, with cheese, bacon and tasty sauce in the middle. It was messy to eat and hold, and not even vaguely healthy, but for an indulgent treat it was worth its weight in gold.

25. Burritodilla, Chipotle

The Burritodilla is an ingenious secret menu item at Chipotle. As you might have guessed from its name, it is a combination of a burrito and a quesadilla. Basically, you have to order around half of the usual fillings you’d have for a normal burrito, and get a good handful of cheese on one side of the wrap. Ask for another helping of queso for over the fillings, and have it folded and placed in the warmer to achieve Burritodilla heaven!

26. Cynthia’s sweet fish bagel

In 2018 the bagel choice of actress and political candidate Cynthia Nixon raised plenty of eyebrows in the media. The Sex and the City star and campaigner wrote on Twitter during the furor, “Yes, I like to eat a Cinnamon Raisin Bagel with... lox, capers, red onions, cream cheese, and tomatoes” before announcing a competition to have a bagel of choice with her.

27. The Seven Dwarves, Five Guy’s & Burger King

You’d have to be mighty hungry or just plain mad to even attempt this monster combo. Yes, The Seven Dwarves is quite the crossover hit, involving two Five Guys burgers and two Whopper Jr.s from Burger King to make an insane burger banquet. Bring stretchy pants, as your waistline will surely expand after devouring this.

28. French Toaster Breakfast Sandwich, Sonic’s

Another classic from 2015. A momentous year for fast food it seems. Sonic’s French Toaster Breakfast Sandwich expertly combined two breakfast staples together to make one epic morning starter. Two sizable slices of French toast covered in eggs, cheese, sausage or bacon? Mmm, yes please. Why it was discontinued is both a mystery and a tragedy.

29. Hot Crossed Bundts, McDonald’s, Del Taco & Chick-fil-A

This one takes a bit of effort to make, as you essentially have to visit or order by phone from three separate fast-food restaurants. So, to make the Hot Crossed Bundts combo you will need to acquire the McDonald’s McCafé Bundt Cake, Del Taco’s Caramel Cheesecake Bites and Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets. Then fill the hole in the Bundt cake and your stomach with the cheesecake bites and chicken. Sweet and savory heaven.

30. In A Flurry, McDonald’s

Ever tried dipping your potato fries into your McFlurry? No? Well, you’re missing out then. Because a lot of young people swear by this strange combo, which though it might sound strange or disgusting, perfectly combines sweet and savory. So, order some large fries and a McFlurry of choice and get dipping. You won’t regret it.

31. Whopperito, Burger King

Why oh why did Burger King get rid of the Whopperito? The much-loved meal was only on the main menu for a short period, but its seamless blending of the Whopper and a burrito made its mark on many of us. Who, in truth, could be against Whopper beef mixed with onion, pickles, cheese and lettuce? Not us, that’s for sure.

32. Pizzabon, Pizza Hut & Cinnabon

The Pizzabon made a brief appearance back in 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. Essentially, Cinnabon trialed a non-cinnamon roll with pepperoni, cheese and tomato sauce instead. You can, however, sort of recreate the short-lived food item. Purchase a cinnamon roll from Cinnabon, plus a pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut. Remove a chunk of the pizza above its base and spoon it on the roll, and voila, you have Pizzabon!

33. Apple-pie Cheeseburger, McDonald’s

A Redditor called Lauren answered a thread for fast-food workers about the weirdest orders they’d ever received with this gem. She wrote, “When I worked at McDonald’s one late night this guy asked for a Double Cheeseburger but instead of the top and bottom bun he wanted two Apple Pies holding everything together.” Wow, an apple-pie cheeseburger. That’s a weird one for sure. Recreate at your peril.

34. Tender Blizzard, Dairy Queen

Ever thought about submerging your chicken tenders fully into the Dairy Queen Blizzard? No? Us neither. But according to Reddit SheZowRaisedByWolves, their male pal received this very order. They wrote, “[A] friend worked at DQ and the worst he’s had was a woman ... order a blizzard with an entire chicken tender placed in. He said she sat down in the lobby and ate it all.” Yuck!

35. McBangBang, McDonald’s

One of the most well-known of the secret menu items at McDonald’s is the McChicken and Cheeseburger combination we are going to call the McBangBang. It also goes by a similar but potentially offensive name. But anyway, this combo is easy enough to order, or create yourself. Ask for two Cheeseburgers and a McChicken, then take the top buns from them and stack them on top of each other. Hey presto, you have a McBangBang.

36. Hawaiian Chicken Chili Melt, Nando’s

Nando’s is the place for Portuguese peri-peri chicken by way of South Africa. But secret menu enthusiasts have added an American — specifically Hawaiian — twist to things. Say aloha to the Hawaiian Chicken Chili Melt; the Nando’s chicken burger with the addition of pineapple, chili jam and cheddar to the mix. For those who like pineapple on their pizza, we guess.

37. McLand, Sea and Air Sandwich, McDonald’s

The McLand, Sea and Air Sandwich is a mighty fine combo on the McDonald’s secret menu. To make it, you’ll need to purchase a trio of burgers from the Golden Arches: a Big Mac, two McChickens and Filet-O-Fish. Then combine the three meals, totaling five patties, into one giant surf-and-turf sandwich. It’s tasty, but hard to get your mouth around!

38. RoadKill Fries, In-N-Out

In-N-Out’s RoadKill Fries hold legendary status among secret menu enthusiasts. And it’s easy to see why. Crispy potato fries with caramelized onions, American cheese, pickle, signature sauce and a meaty burger on top? Yes please! Sadly, the company neglects to make them to order now. But as Reddit user uivigar wrote, “[Just] order an animal-style fries well done and a separate meat patty to put on top.” Splendid.

39. Taco Pizza, Pizza Hut

Here’s a real blast from the past courtesy of Pizza Hut. The Taco Pizza was a thing at “the Hut” way back in the 1970s. The delicious-sounding Italian/Mexican dish expertly blended cheese with beef, refried beans, tomato and lettuce, with a side of Pace Picante Sauce. What a time to be alive! There’s even a Facebook page committed to pushing Pizza Hut to bring it back.

40. Wigan Kebab, Galloways Bakers

Finally, here’s a culinary oddity from the north-west of England. The pie barm, or if you prefer, Wigan Kebab. But, what is it, you ask? Well, this popular dish is essentially a puff-pastry meat pie encased in a buttered “barm cake” roll. Barm cake being bread leavened with fermented beverage foam. It’s kind of simple and weird at the same time. But it’s delicious and represents the quickest way to ingest a pie that is currently known to man.
