Timeless Beauties Who Prove That Age Really Is Just A Number

Sure, “aging gracefully” is a thing, but many women still fear getting older. And that’s fair enough because no one likes to wake up and discover a new grey hair or wrinkle. But next time something like that happens to you, just remember that these stars are also mature ladies, and they’re absolutely killing it. Wait till you see Jennifer Grey today.

1. Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston has strong opinions when it comes to talking about age with others. In 2019 the star told Allure magazine, “Very little offends me, but what I do think is becoming dated are things like, ‘Oh, you look great for your age.’ Because at a certain point, you should start to look like [garbage]? Because that’s what that is implying.”

2. Elizabeth Hurley

In 2020 Women’s Health magazine wondered if Elizabeth Hurley was “aging in reverse.” You can see why, because the star not only looks incredibly fresh-faced and youthful, but she keeps bringing out old clothes and showing off her unchanged figure. Is there anything in the world more envy-inducing?

Helen Mirren is an older lady, and she’s proud of it. In 2020 Oprah magazine asked her about the oft-used beauty industry phrase “anti-aging,” and she said, “I take great issue with the term, actually. You can’t avoid aging. The way I see it, you have two choices in life: you can either get older, or die. And I want to continue to see what life has in store.”

5. Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts is middle-aged now but still arguably as beautiful as the day she appeared in the aptly named Pretty Woman. And the actress’s advice for looking great is simple and easy to follow. Writing in her magazine O back in 2011, Oprah said, “We live in a youth-obsessed culture that is constantly trying to tell us that if we are not young, and we’re not glowing, and we’re not hot, that we don’t matter. I refuse to let a system or a culture or a distorted view of reality tell me that I don’t matter.” Well said.

9. Gwen Stefani

23. Alfre Woodard

Alfre Woodard isn’t about to adhere to outdated expectations for an older lady. In 2020 she told AARP The Magazine, “I don’t want to put an expiration date on showing my jiggly legs at the beach, or say, ‘I’m over 50. 29. Julie Bowen

In 2020 50-year-old Modern Family actress Julie Bowen told Parade magazine, “I find it disconcerting that 60-year-olds look like 30-year-olds. They do look great! Now I’m in my early 30s and I’m like, ‘Why did that 24-year-old get that part? I was that 24-year-old once.” Chances are she’ll be able to nab roles for 20-year-olds when she actually is 50, though.

35. Lisa Bonet

She produces the Black history animation series Sweet Blackberry, and notably she hasn’t ruled out doing more Fresh Prince one day, which is pretty dope.

88. Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams became a teen idol with Dawson’s Creek back in 1998. But when it came time for her to transition into more grown-up roles, she made it look easy. These days she’s a very successful actress, and a lot of people don’t even remember that she was once Jen Lindley. Us ’90s kids do, though.

89. Brandy Norwood

Brandy Norwood was so famous that she was able to drop the surname and just be known as “Brandy.” She was one of the biggest teen stars of the ’90s, but as with so many before, her fame took its toll. The Moesha star seems to be on more solid ground these days, though, and also she looks amazingly identical to her ’90s self.

90. Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst was a force to be reckoned with in the ’90s. She delivered some of her biggest hits during that period: Little Women, Jumanji and The Virgin Suicides to name a few. But as we all know, her career didn’t end there. Kirsten’s still a very popular and very accomplished actress. And she’s still got that adorable face.

91. Sarah Jessica Parker

We can’t help but wonder what Sarah Jessica Parker would be without Sex and the City. Audiences loved her, and she won multiple awards for her portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw. Even now, having done plenty of other stuff since the show ended, it’s what she’s best known for. And let’s be honest, it’s thanks to her that the idea of running through the streets of Manhattan wearing outrageous clothes and inappropriate footwear will always be an aspiration for so many ’90s kids.

92. Julia Stiles

The 1999 movie 10 Things I Hate About You made Julia Stiles a star. Who could forget the incredible dance that led to many a teenage girl replicating the routine in their own bedrooms? In fact, it was that very scene that led Stiles to be cast in the leading role in Save The Last Dance. She’s chilled out since becoming a mom – son Strummer was born in 2017 – and now prefers to take on smaller projects, such as the British television show Riviera. She’s still got her gorgeous good looks, and we bet she’s still got those moves, too.

93. Jaclyn Smith

One-time Charlie’s Angel Jaclyn Smith offered some aging advice to Closer magazine in 2014. She said, “No. 1, sleep is very important. Having a skin-care routine that you don’t have to be a slave to. Exercise. Drinking and smoking — I do neither of those, and smoking is particularly aging. Then, be good to yourself!” And as a breast cancer survivor, she also believes in regular mammograms. Smart lady.
