Indiana teen Mason Brian Barclay was excited when he received an invite in 2017 from BFF Houston Shelton for a sleepover. There was just one problem, though. Her mom had set a same-sex rule, and that meant Barclay – a guy – was counted out. However, when Barclay suggested that he might be safe to come over anyway, the mom had a hilarious response

Barclay wanted nothing more than to go to Shelton’s sleepover. However, her mom’s rule made it look impossible. But, surely, Barclay reasoned, the whole thing about only allowing teenagers of the same sex was to prevent sexual activity between boys and girls. Since he was gay, that shouldn’t be a problem. So he went ahead and sent Shelton’s mom a text.
