It seems like just yesterday we were watching these familiar faces become stars of stage and screen before they’d even entered their teens. But even celebrities can’t stay young forever; these 20, for example, all seem to have transformed into adults in the blink of an eye…

20. Bella Thorne

Bella Thorne became the latest Disney Channel tween queen in 2010 when she landed the part of dancing obsessed CeCe Jones in sitcom Shake It Up. But since the show ended, she’s become a staple of high school movies and has also reinvented herself as one of Instagram’s most provocative celebrity users.

19. Alexa Vega

Alexa Vega also isn’t averse to showing a bit of flesh in order to prove that she’s now all grown up. The actress, who first came to attention in the Spy Kids franchise, once tweeted a photo of herself in just a bra while filming 2012’s very adult Machete Kills.

18. Daryl Sabara

Vega’s Spy Kids co-star, Daryl Sabara, also looks different to how most people remember him in the family-friendly franchise. Now in his mid-twenties, the actor – who has recently appeared in the likes of Resident Advisors and John Carter – has been hailed by some as one of Hollywood’s hottest redheads.

17. Dylan and Cole Sprouse

Twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse first made the public go “aww” when they shared the role of abandoned five-year-old Julian in Adam Sandler’s Big Daddy. And after landing their own sitcom, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, the siblings went on to attract attention for their R-rated social media posts.

16. Josh Hutcherson

Josh Hutcherson was a regular adorkable face in ’00s kids movies such as Zathura, Bridge to Terabithia and Journey to the Center of the Earth. He’s since transformed into one of the young adult genre’s biggest heartthrobs thanks to his role as Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games.

15. Angus T. Jones

It wasn’t just his appearance that Angus T. Jones changed following his exit from sitcom Two and a Half Men. The now heavily bearded twentysomething described the show that launched him to fame as “filth” in 2012 after becoming a vocal member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of North America.

14. Erik Per Sullivan

Famous for playing younger brother Dewey in Malcolm in the Middle, Erik Per Sullivan has largely shied away from the showbiz world since the sitcom wrapped up in 2006. But as you can see above, he’s no longer the jug-eared blonde-haired tween we all knew and loved.

13. Matthew Lewis

Matthew Lewis’ transformation from gawky, gap-toothed teen to strapping twentysomething hunk whipped the media into a frenzy in 2015. Previously best known for playing Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter series, Lewis has capitalized on his new-found sex appeal with roles in British series The Syndicate and Happy Valley.

12. Tom Felton

Of course, Lewis wasn’t the only supporting Harry Potter character to shake off his rather awkward teenage phase. Indeed, once Tom Felton, who played the villainous Draco Malfoy in the series, ditched the platinum blonde hair, he went on to become just as lusted after as his fellow wizarding co-stars.

11. Bonnie Wright

Sticking with J.K. Rowling’s fantastical world: Bonnie Wright first caught attention aged ten, playing Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films. And as her prominence in the franchise continued to grow, so did her modeling career; in 2011, moreover, she was given the “Most Edgy Look” honor at the Rodial Beautiful Awards.

10. Josh Peck

Drake and Josh star Josh Peck was once a chubby kid and often the butt of the jokes, but he managed to shift all his baby fat once he reached his twenties. Then, he even ended up giving John Stamos a run for his money in the hot stakes during their short-lived sitcom Grandfathered.

9. Abigail Breslin

Abigail Breslin charmed both the cinemagoing public and Oscar voters as the ten-year-old star of Little Miss Sunshine. The child actress went on to further display her adorableness in Nim’s Island and Definitely, Maybe before re-emerging with a more voluptuous figure in the likes of Scream Queens and the upcoming reboot of Dirty Dancing.

8. Haley Joel Osment

Like Breslin, Haley Joel Osment received an Oscar nomination at a very young age thanks to his performance in The Sixth Sense. He also drastically changed his appearance as he grew up, transforming into a burly, beardy man while also taking daring roles such as his turn as a Nazi supporter in Yoga Hosers.

7. Taylor Momsen

You could be forgiven for not recognizing Taylor Momsen now she’s no longer the cute kid from The Grinch. That’s because, after taking on the role of Jenny Humphrey on hit teen drama Gossip Girl, the actress cultivated a striking goth-meets-grunge look as the frontwoman of rock outfit The Pretty Reckless.

6. Malcolm David Kelley

We may not know what happened to Walt in Lost, but at least we know what happened to the actor who played him. Malcolm David Kelley was just a young teen when he landed the role, but now he’s a twenty-something rapper who has enjoyed chart success as part of the musical twosome MKTO.

5. Alyson Stoner

Remember that amazing tiny dancer in the video for Missy Elliott’s “Work It?” Well, she’s no longer tiny. Alyson Stoner has since blossomed into a multi-talented and very beautiful young woman who has since added everything from box-office smashes and popular cartoons to Disney sitcoms and Billboard hits to her resume.

4. Keke Palmer

Keke Palmer had several film roles under her belt before she’d even reached her teens, including Barbershop 2: Back in Business and Akeelah and the Bee. She’s since played Chili in a TLC biopic, enjoyed recurring roles in True Jackson VP, Scream Queens and 90210 and become something of an Instagram queen, too.

3. Ariel Winter

Ariel Winter shot to fame at the age of 11 as the geekier younger sister Alex Dunphy in the hit sitcom Modern Family. But she’s recently started to attract just as much attention as her older co-star Sarah Hyland thanks to her curvy physique, which she can often be found flaunting on Instagram.

2. Cody Linley

He might not have changed quite as drastically as his Hannah Montana love interest, Miley Cyrus, but Cody Linley still looks totally different from his Disney Channel days. Plus, the handsome actor recently showed just how grown up he is these days with a role in the fourth chapter of increasingly ridiculous Syfy franchise Sharknado.

1. William Moseley

William Moseley appeared as Peter Pevensie in three big-screen adaptations of the Chronicles of Narnia series. And having played the king of C.S. Lewis’ fictional world as a teen, the actor then took advantage of his British good looks to star as a prince in E!’s gloriously campy series The Royals.
