20 Stars Who’ve Said They’ll Leave the U.S. If Donald Trump Gets Sworn In

While the likes of Scott Baio and Antonio Sabato Jr. have pledged their allegiance to Donald Trump, overall the showbiz world has reacted overwhelming negatively to the presidential hopeful. In fact, there are some celebrities who have publicly declared that they won’t live in an America where Trump reigns supreme. And they mean that literally, because these 20 stars have actually vowed to emigrate should the Republican nominee make it into the White House. And some have put an awful lot of thought into their exit plans, too…

20. Amber Rose

Amber Rose admits that she would be devastated at the reality of a Trump presidency. The model and actress, who isn’t a fan of Trump’s gender politics, told Us Weekly that she would take her three-year-old son and get out of the country.

19. Arnie Hammer

Arnie Hammer has put more thought into his emigration plans than most other Trump detractors. In fact, the actor has not only decided on which area to move to (the Caribbean), but he’s also worked out what he would do for a living over there (run a jet-ski rental venture).

18. Jon Stewart

Anyone hoping for Jon Stewart to return to the late-night TV schedules should pray for a Hillary Clinton win. In fact, for Stewart, Earth in its entirety isn’t habitable with Trump in the White House. The former Daily Show host joked that he would have to get in a rocket and move to another planet altogether.

17. Rosie O’Donnell

Rosie O’Donnell has been an enemy of Trump for several years, and so few were surprised when she claimed she’d emigrate to Canada should he become President. And in return, The Donald fired back by saying that he’d be doing a great service to his country if he succeeded in ousting the comedienne.

16. Lena Dunham

True to form, Trump also didn’t mince his words about another outspoken female star who claimed she too would move north of the border should he emerge victorious. This time it was Girls creator Lena Dunham. Trump told Fox News, “She’s a B actor and has no mojo.”

15. Matt Damon

Matt Damon famously played an astronaut stranded on the Red Planet in Ridley Scott’s sci-fi epic The Martian. And the actor quipped that he wouldn’t have any reservations about traveling to Mars for real if Trump was sworn in as President.

14. Randy Blythe

Some rock stars are afraid to mix music with politics, but not Randy Blythe. In fact, the frontman of heavy metal outfit Lamb of God not only described the Republican as a clown, but he also vowed to stay clear of America until it was Trump-free.

13. Samuel L Jackson

“If that motherf***** becomes president, I’m moving my black ass to South Africa.” That’s what Samuel L. Jackson told Jimmy Kimmel when asked about his views on the presidential race. And it seems like it’s not just Trump’s politics that the actor hates, either, but his sportsmanship, too. Jackson famously got into a war of words with Trump when he claimed that the businessman had cheated during a round of golf.

12. Miley Cyrus

Not to be outdone by Jackson, Miley Cyrus used Instagram to deliver an equally foul-mouthed response when asked about the prospects of Trump as President. “God, he thinks he is the f***ing chosen one or some s***! … Honestly f*** this s*** I am moving if this is my president! I don’t say things I don’t mean!”

11. Cher

Cher has become famous for airing her strong – albeit sometimes unintelligible – political views on Twitter. And Trump was just the latest to get it in the neck when the pop icon claimed she would up sticks to Jupiter if he were elected.

10. Neve Campbell

A protest move to Canada perhaps wouldn’t be as life-changing for Neve Campbell. Why? Because the actress – who blames the general ignorance of the American public for Trump’s rise – was born and grew up in Guelph, Ontario, before moving to Los Angeles in her teens.

9. Chloe Sevigny

Chloe Sevigny has even pinpointed the exact Canadian province that she would relocate to in the wake of a Trump win. In a Vanity Fair piece, the actress revealed that Nova Scotia would be her safe haven should she have to make a swift exit.

8. Barry Diller

Barry Diller bluntly summed up his reasons for emigrating from a Trump-led government at the Bloomberg Markets Most Influential Summit, and by the sounds of it Diller shouldn’t expect a Christmas card from his fellow billionaire businessman this year. He told Bloomberg editor Erik Schatzker, “He’s a self-promoting huckster who found a vein, a vein of meanness and nastiness.”

7. Omari Hardwick

Omari Hardwick knows all about how Power can corrupt, having taken the lead role in the 50 Cent-produced Starz drama. And the actor claims he and his family would pack up and relocate to Italy should Trump become the leader of the free world.

6. Elisabeth Moss

And Hardwick may well find another Hollywood star on the same flight to that boot-shaped country. Because Elisabeth Moss, best-known for playing Peggy Olson on Mad Men, says she too would use a Trump victory as an opportunity to go and live the Italian dream.

5. George Lopez

George Lopez has pointed out that Trump might not have to worry about immigration if he becomes President. Yes, the comedian, who once played a Mexican version of The Donald for a Funny or Die sketch, reckons all foreigners would voluntarily move back to their home countries anyway.

4. Raven Symone

Former child star-turned-daytime TV host Raven Symone certainly seems prepared for a move to Canada if her worst nightmare turns into reality. She laid out her plans during a segment on The View, “I already have my ticket. I literally bought my ticket, I swear.”

3. Whoopi Goldberg

Symone isn’t the only regular face from The View to have talked of leaving the country following a Trump triumph, either. How so? Because Whoopi Goldberg, who has implored the candidates to “get back to American values,” has also vowed to vacate if the Republican wins.

2. Eddie Griffin

Eddie Griffin worries that Trump’s stance on Mexican immigrants may reveal a similar hostility towards black people. And so the comedian is prepared to relocate to Africa should The Donald become the 45th President of the United States.

1. Chelsea Handler

Chelsea Handler once posted a naked photo of herself on Instagram with an anti-Trump message written on her back. That’s how strongly she feels about his candidacy. And so it stands to reason that the outspoken comedienne has already bought a house abroad, and she says she’s prepared to move into it should her arch nemesis get into power.
